Connect, Collaborate, Celebrate: South Lakes’s PTSA in Action

We’re creating meaningful connections among students, parents, teachers, and the wider community. Together, we celebrate the collective achievements and milestones that make our community vibrant.

Connect
At the heart of our PTSA lies a passionate community of volunteers. Together, we strive to cultivate an educational environment that's not only rich but also inclusive and equitable, so that every student feels valued and supported.

We believe in the power of connection, which is why we involve our students as PTSA Student Ambassadors. By being the bridge between their peers and the PTSA, they listen to challenges and propose solutions, ensuring that the student voice is always at the forefront of our initiatives.

Collaborate

Collaboration drives us forward. By offering three annual scholarships worth $1000 each, we invest in our students' futures. Additionally, to empower our incredible staff, we offer ten $350 teacher mini-grants. These grants aim to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for our educators and inspire them to create authentic, innovative, immersive learning experiences for our students.

Celebrate

We're all about celebrating the strength, spirit, and the good in our community. Monthly staff/teacher appreciation events are one way of expressing gratitude and recognizing the unparalleled dedication of our staff. We spotlight student groups and staff each month, highlighting and celebrating what they bring to the school. And the All Night Grad Party committee works tirelessly all year to create a memorable, dynamic, and exciting celebration for our seniors each year on the night of graduation.
